The Secret To High Converting Sales Copy

Selling a product or service on the internet is much harder than selling one face to face.  Believe me, I know.  I have sold products both ways.  Online, you don’t have that face to face connection that you do when selling in person.  You cant see their body language to see if they have any objections, or if you lose their interest because you are not addressing their particular questions and concerns.

Instead we have to write a letter that will hopefully conquer any fears or objections they may have.
So how do we do this?  Let me show you some of the ways I construct sales copy to remove their objections and make them feel like they need your product.

Headline:

A high impact headline is probably the most important thing you can write for your sales copy.  It must captivate the reader and persuades him to continue reading.  Your headline should be attention grabbing. It should speak directly to the prospective customer you want to attract.  So knowing your target audience is very important.
The biggest question on your prospective customers mind is what’s in it for me?  If you can answer that, they will take notice.

Tell a Good Story

Everybody loves a good story.  As far back as ancient time, Greeks and Romans have been telling stories that are still to this day read and talked about.  Write an emotion story that your audience can relate and connect with.

Tell them of a problem you or friend had and how they finally got over it with the help of your product or service.  Speak to them with words like “you”, “your”, “I”, and “me”.  Use high impact verbs and adjectives to get your prospective reader excited.  Get them imagining what it would be like if they could fix their problem.

Desire Driven Bullets

These high impact sentences are like mini headlines.  They should practically sell your product for you.  Bullets should tell your reader some of the secrets they will learn if they buy your product or service.  Your reader should be so excited and anxious to know more that they are compelled to learn how they can purchase your product.

Using these techniques can dramatically increase the conversion rate of your sales copy and help put more money into your pocket.  After all that is why you are writing sales copy in the first place, right?
